Painter's putty.

Why did I not know of this wonderous creation???
The flippin' molding would have been done and painted this weekend if I had putty instead of the f#^*+#¥'ing caulk! *sigh* back to work now...

Warranty Service

The hose is stuck. The vac hose, 10' out and it sucks.

So up I go.

Dig at 30', it's 40' long.  Gently circle cut, there we are...

I wonder how THAT got there?

I had couplers fortunately. It's taped not glued so if happens again even a GIRL could do it!

Flooring update

It's a little thing, but We got the 2 sticks of flooring ripped and installed in the craftroom this morning before work.

So the craftroom floor is 100% done. I need to get a cabinet so we can finish the molding in the little bathroom.

And while we didn't get the carpet installed on Friday, they did come out and glue down all the tack strips in the master bedroom and upstairs. The glue needs to set before they stretch carpet over it. I have a lot of caulking and painting still to do. Have I mentioned how much I hate caulking???  Truly awful stuff...

Bedroom lighting and a bathtub

I'm very pleased with the bed lamps we got for the master bedroom.  Tom installed them today.

And he also installed the bathtub I got for Mother's Day... 5 years ago!

Just before it's first cleaning:

It was worth the wait. Oh, if you want to get a housewarming gift, BUBBLEBATH! :-)

Monday progress

I hate caulk. Just thought I'd put that out there. It's horribly sticky (everywhere that you DON'T want it) and is just not the most fun I've ever had in a Monday. And the fact that I SUCK at it doesn't help matters either...

But on a better note, Tom got the ceiling fan with lights installed in the master bedroom:

And the light assemblies added to the fans in the girls' rooms:

And what a beautiful territorial view this morning!

Not to brag, but I'm kind of a bad-a$$ with my compound sliding miter saw... Molding beware...

Exterior lights, Spice boxes and dance floors

Busy weekend but didn't feel as productive as I would have liked.  Tom got the three lights in front of the garage installed. As well as the lights outside the master bedroom, garage man-door and craftroom. He also did some electrical stuff inside, but I'm not sure exactly what... Maybe he'll blog sometime?? :)

A major milestone was achieved this weekend.  After almost 14 years, I no longer have spice boxes in my dining room. I now have 2 spice drawers (one for savory spices and one for baking) plus a cupboard just for the Costco-sized containers. This makes me ridiculously happy.

Last but not least, Miss Hailey has decided that my craftroom is the perfect dance studio for her to take pics and videos for her YouTube and Instagram accounts. She's not going to be happy when my stuff starts moving in... :)

Casing & molding started

Amanda & I started it off by doing all the measuring & cutting for her room. Then she and dad nailed it up.

Such a bright and cheerful room... Makes me happy!

Then Hailey and I did the same for her room.

Meanwhile, Tom did the door casings:

And we are just about ready for carpet upstairs!

Craftroom flooring

So my project this weekend was the Pergo flooring in the craftroom. Once Tom showed me how it goes together, there was no stopping me. It is all done except for the small area of the bathroom where the toilet & cabinet will be. I'm kinda happy with how it turned out. Just needs a good mopping and Hailey can use it as a dance floor until we move in. :)

The two round thing in the middle of the floor are outlets for embossing tools, etc when I have stamping classes. *tee*hee*
