Laundry & kids' bathroom

Zack & Matt came out again today and got the rest of the entryway done first.
And since I don't have the right tile for the master bath, they did the laundry room:

And the kids' bathroom.  I had gotten the blue accent tiles off Craigslist several years ago and they are the perfect compliment to the white tiles on the floor.  And the blue paint on the walls ties it all together.

I will see if I can get them to come back for one more day to finish the floor in the den.

Tile joys and woes

So it appears the tile store gave me a different tile sample to bring home and check originally for our master bathroom than what they actually sold me. I want the original sample. Turns out the sample is almost 2x the cost of what they sold me AND it's not in Bothell, we would have to go to Renton.  I  am really disappointed and I have to move my cabinet install out another week to allow time for the rest of the install as well as grout and seal. It's been such a long process, I guess another week won't make much difference in the grand scheme of things.
On a brighter note, here is the downstairs flooring  done, but before grout.

Zach & Matt came today and got the entryway almost done. It is so beautiful! They will be back tomorrow to do the master bathroom and hopefully get to the girls' bathroom also.

Yet still more tile...

Tom and I finished the kitchen tile today. It's a little sad how seemingly little we got done compared to Matt & Zach yesterday. But we are a little wiser now and there are no toe-stubbers. :-)

And I couldn't resist taking some pics of the dining room floor...

More tile pictures...

Amazing Saturday

We have had a very productive day! We had a couple experienced tile guys here to get the wood-look tile laid.

Scott & Diane (experienced tile layers in their own right!) finished up the south side of the kitchen.
Tom is laying the less expensive tile that will be hidden by the cabinets.
Then we got a visit from Ted & Darla with Northwest Stair & Rail! Could this day get any better?? I now have a GORGEOUS railing on the stairs and upper hallway. After some discussion via text about the differences between chocolate brown and espresso brown and the merits of both, I left the final choice up to Darla and she couldn't have chosen better! It's a cross between espresso brown and a bronze. It is flippin' perfect.
My cheeks hurt from smiling...
