Floating Shelves!
Since the guest bathroom was really too small for a shower, I decided to build floating shelves instead. (Thanks, Pinterest!)

Last carpet installed!
The list of things to finish is long but at least the last of the carpet is now checked off!
Closet under stairs?
check!
Check!
Every time the girls go up or down I hear 'Oh my God, I love these stairs!'. I'm glad we have built this house the way we did. Sure makes us appreciate every little detail.

Stairs continued
We don't like to move too fast on our projects... lol. Tom has finished the cherry for the stairs. Now they are just waiting for me to get the carpet guy scheduled. And he has to do the caps at the railing base and stain the handrail to match.

Stairs!
Tom is so busy working on the stairs he hasn't made time to post about it! Guess I'll help him out a bit.
We decided on cherry to match the rest of the cabinetry. Tom glued and biscuited the layers together to cut for the sides of each tread.
Before. Construction stairs with the layers of splatter to prove it.

Master closet continued
Tom and I got the closet system up last weekend. It's so nice to have everything put away finally.

Master closet start
Finally getting to the master closet. I am so excited to get our hanging clothes out of the shower area and put away on a respectable closet rod! Not to mention the stuff still in boxes.
So while Tom and Hailey are out of town for work training, the closet system was delivered!
Then I worked on painting the walls.
Hopefully, Amanda and I can get it all installed before they get home on Thursday... Wish us luck!

Guest bathroom - more progress
We are getting the itch to finish the many little (and some not-so-little) projects on our task list. I started with the guest bathroom. I finally textured the wall repair from the former shower.

Christmas 2015
I so enjoy decorating this year! In sticking with tradition, we got our tree from the front yard again. Tom had planted starts many years ago and they are great Charlie Brown trees now! (I might encourage him to shape them a bit in the summer.)
This may still be 'Charlie Brown'-ish, but at least we can reach the top this year.
And I even bought my first fake tree for the front window.

Guest bathroom Sheetrock repair
While I can honestly say that I've installed Sheetrock, I don't think I will add that particular skill to my résumé..
Steve the Taper will be coming by this weekend to fix this mess.
